Donate on Your Vermont Income Tax Form

Vermont taxpayers are donating money for programs for children and families as they pay their taxes. The Vermont Children's Trust Fund (VCT Fund) tax check-off, this year in Section 6, Line 29b, makes it easy for Vermonters to give funds that will benefit such activities as after school programs, literacy programs and mentoring programs.

The tax check- off was established in 1997 by the Vermont Legislature. 100% of the dollars donated through the tax check-off go directly into grants for Vermont programs that serve children from birth to 18 years. The tax check - off is an important source of revenue for the Fund, adding an average of $75,000 each year since its inception.

This year's goal is that every Vermont tax payer donate at least a dollar to the Children's Tax Check-off. If we reach our goal we will quadruple the amount given in previous years through the tax check off and give us the ability to make grants to at least 15 more programs than we were able to help last year.
